Leah spoke with Gina this morning, and sent me this email:
Gina said that Billy was doing well and that the number of visits is good. The important thing to remember is that while we don’t want to forget the Patty’s, Bill also has a hard time if there is too much noise of if there isn’t a part of the day that is quiet. Bill slept well until 3 this morning and then began what the nurses call “storming”. This is a clinical assessment that is seen in brain injury patients. It is an agitation or restlessness is common in these patients and can be associated with fever, posturing, tachycardia, hypertension, and diaphoresis. The nurses and Gina had to do some suctioning, but Bill calmed down and rested once Gina climbed into bed with him. Gina also asked that we remember Kimberly Whitehead. This lady was in CCU with Bill. She was moved upstairs before Billy and then had some complications that required her return to the critical care unit. The problems were with her thyroid and she is better so she should be able to move back up to the 4th floor. One other request came from a co worker of Gina’s. A 19 month old is being tested for cancer. Pray for guidence of the doctors hands and for peace of God on this child and her family.
Remember to keep Theresa and her family in your prayers as well.
