It’s been a while since I’ve posted; I did something to my back, and haven’t been coping well with it.  It’s been a little better this evening, so I’m hoping the worst is over.

The news about Billy continues to get better: he’s in a room!!  Room 1026, East tower, to be exact.  This is a real answer to prayer, but it will require us to change the way we visit.  Gina will need us to limit to only two or three people at a time; and since Billy will be in the room where we visit, there will also need to be times when no one is visiting, so Billy can rest.  Bottom line: we’ll need to visit less often, and we’ll need to call before we come.  I’m sure you’ll understand I can’t give Gina’s cell phone number here online.  Most of you who visit often already have it; I’ll have to hope others know someone who does.  Also, keep in mind that there may be times when she’ll need to turn down the ringer and not answer.

Gina asked for prayer for a few other patients there:

  • Neva Evans – an older lady who fell down.  She was suffering from broken ribs and a collapsed lung, and isn’t doing well.
  • Mr. & Mrs. Stonecipher – this couple was in a car crash.  Their daughter told Gina that Mr. Stonecipher is in very bad shape, and they don’t expect him to survive.
  • Jada Wilson – 16-year-old girl was in an ATV accident, not wearing a helmet.  She has a head injury — not as bad as Billy’s, Gina said, but we need to pray for her.

One final thing; I spoke with Hazel Bennett a little while ago.  She is suggesting that we all get Gina birthday cards for her birthday, May 27, and bring them to church on Sunday, May 25.  Someone will carry them all to her.

Things are most likely going to be happening a little slower now, and I’m going to drop back to one post per day for the most part, probably in the evening most days.

Take care, all.

-Joe
