Improvement continues, bit by bit. They are pretty sure the brain drain and the respirator collar will both be gone in a few days. Billy mostly breathes on his own, and most of the time doesn’t have the respirator even hooked up. He’s getting stronger, but as many of you know healing is very hard, tiring work, so about half the time he’s too tired to do much of anything. One sign that the doctors are starting to be more hopeful: they are beginning to make plans for rehab for Billy. Even a week ago, I don’t think the doctors considered it likely that rehab would be happening. Fortunately, God knows more than doctors!

I mentioned last night that Billy was going to have a CAT scan in the wee hours of this morning. Gina hasn’t yet had an opportunity to speak with the doctors to find out what they learned. She should know more later today, and I’ll post whatever I learn, whenever I learn it.

Keep praying for Billy, Gina, Theresa, and all of the doctors & nurses who are treating Billy. And thank God for His goodness and faithfulness.

For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name. AND HIS MERCY IS UPON GENERATION AFTER GENERATION TOWARD THOSE WHO FEAR HIM. Luke 1:19-20
